The Spider-Verse, and its focus on reality jumping, is the ideal way to do the same for Miles, bringing him whole cloth into the MCU and ready to pick up wherever Peter leaves off.Loading. Holland's version of Parker more or less skipped the radioactive-spider story that had already appeared twice on the big screen. But with the Spider-Verse movies doing so well and the character increasingly familiar to new fans, there's less of a need to repackage his early adventures. It would be the right project for the transition and preserve Holland's ability to return in projects like Secret Wars.Ī hypothetical MCU Miles needn't be connected to the animated version, of course, and a home-grown MCU-specific character would let the franchise do its own thing with his origins. Miles makes a great opportunity for Peter to reconnect with a human being, giving him closure and peace before handing the mantle off to Miles for future movies. No Way Home ends with Peter alone and forgotten, courtesy of Doctor Strange's forgetting spell that reverses the incursion. At the same time, it would give Holland an opportunity to make a graceful exit.
